Gorgeous Winter Engagement Photos in Millcreek, Pa

This breathe taking engagement session at Wintergreen Gorge in Millcreek, Pa was more than I could have dreamed of. Nick & Emma were planning their fairytale wedding long distance. The bride is originally from Denver, Co. and the groom is originally from North East, Pa. They both attended college in Florida and that’s where they met and their love story blossomed. This beautiful couple found the perfect inspiring wedding venue at Granite Ridge, renting their 120 year old chapel for the wedding day. Emma had always dreamed of marrying her Prince Charming at a winter wedding extravaganza surrounded by soft light and the love of her family and friends. 

Because the couple was hosting a winter wedding and they would be in North East visiting family for the holidays we met up just a few days before Christmas at the only location we could think of that would have the magical feel of a fairytale forest, Wintergreen Gorge. Nick had some experience hiking the trails beginning at Penn State Behrend so that’s where we began our journey for this engagement session at Wintergreen Gorge. Emma looked just like a princess in a stunning apple red dress that perfectly suited the holiday season and popped elegantly off the white snow. Nick suited up nicely as well in a tailored shirt and slacks. We ventured into the woods together where the couple shared a few intimate, romantic moments. In a touching show of family love Emma also brought along a blanket Nick’s grandma had knitted for them. It was the ideal prop to keep them warm when the air chilled a bit. After capturing some sweet moments in the forest we wandered up to an open field where the couple really warmed up by having an impromptu snowball fight! It was my first experience shooting a snowball fight so I had an amazing time! As we were wrapping up our session Emma had one more request and that was to show off her ring as her Prince Charming carried her out of the park. I think that final shot turned out to be my favorite. The excitement and love is just radiating off Emma’s face as Nick carries her to be his home forever.
