Proposal on Lake Erie

Sweet Winter Proposal on Lake Erie – Niko & Abby

Surprise Wedding Proposal on the Lake in Erie, Pa

Niko had a plan and it was a great one for a sweet, winter proposal on Lake Erie. He knew that coming to Erie was one of Abby’s favorite things to do. The couple lives in Pittsburgh and Erie is their favorite little get away place. One of Abby’s most cherished places in Erie is the dock right at the foot of State Street where you can find the iconic Bicentennial Tower. So, when Niko decided to plan a birthday weekend for Abby she was none the wiser that she’d be going home an engaged woman.

Niko secretly reached out to our team to ask if we could photograph their proposal for him as another surprise for his beautiful girlfriend. Luckily, our team had already captured a Proposal on Lake Erie just a few years earlier in a very similar situation. (You can see more of that gallery here: Proposal Photos at the Bicentennial Tower, Erie Pa .)

Our team waited outside the restaurant that Niko had told Abby they had reservations at to secretly capture the proposal. But, Niko was so excited he got down on one knee early and the team almost missed the moment! Thank goodness they brought their long lens with them and everything was documented for the happy couple.

After Abby got over the initial shock, Niko brought out the other two surprises he had up his sleeve: a bottle of their favorite champagne AND their parents! Abby had no idea their family would be joining them for dinner to celebrate after the Proposal on Lake Erie! This couple was able to enjoy the evening surrounded by the shining love of their family. We wish them the very best on their lives together! Thank you for the honor of capturing this precious chapter in your love story.
