Breathtaking Fairytale Wedding at The Chapel at Granite Ridge – Nick & Emma’s Story

Stunning Winter Wedding at The Chapel at Granite Ridge, North East Pa

Our teams at Silver & Sage Studio were first contacted about this Wedding at The Chapel at Granite Ridge before it even became a wedding! Engaged couple, Nick & Emma, were planning long distance with the help of the bride’s mom, also long distance. The bride originally comes from Denver, Co while the groom grew up in the North East and Wattsburg Pa area. But both had relocated to Florida for college where they met and their love story began.

Emma’s mom was happy to step in and help the busy couple locate a wedding venue and vendors for her magical day. That’s when they found our Wedding Planner & Coordinator who jumped on board to assist them in finding the venue that would best suit their vision. Emma had a vision of a Fairytale Winter Wedding that would feel like being in a castle. Our wedding planner immediately thought of Sleeping Beauty and began the search. Several options were suggested and the couple fell in love with the idea of hosting their wedding at The Chapel at Granite Ridge. To complete the experience they were also referred to The Hamilton Mansion in Ripley, NY. This stately home was built during the prohibition period and boasts intricate woodwork, fine details and a hidden speak easy bar off the parlor! With it’s stunning architecture, it was the ideal spot for both the bride & groom to get ready in.

The couple also decided to book our studio for a bundle package including Wedding Photography, Wedding Film, Wedding Photo Booth Rental, and our partner company at Erie DJ Entertainment for their Premium Experience that includes uplighting and a monogram light. The couple chose Pink and Eucalyptus for their decor. Special Occasions Designs was brought in to create the magical fairytale vision with candelabras and sparkly gems and soft candles.  Erie DJ Entertainment setup pink uplighting to compliment the decor.

Our Photo team began their day by capturing all the details for this Winter Wedding at The Chapel at Granite Ridge in the 120 year old chapel and the getting ready moments, bridal portraits and groom portraits at the Hamilton Mansion. The bride had an emotional first look with her dad before we left for the chapel. Both our Photo and Film teams took advantage of the choir loft at the back of the Chapel to set up cameras and capture a unique perspective of this momentous day as Nick & Emma were surrounded by loved ones who traveled from miles away to celebrate with them. Emma made her entrance from the outside doors to the Chapel flanked by soft candle light to either side while her Prince Charming waited expectantly for her at the altar. The brides dad, a pastor, both walked his little princess down the aisle and then had the honor of performing the ceremony. Because of their intimate relationship the ceremony was full of love beyond what you could imagine.

After Nick & Emma said their vows, exchanged rings and shared loves first kiss…we ventured outside for some newlywed photos alone with the couple. To ensure that every spectacular detail of this castle like chapel was preserved in their story we used the grounds to our full advantage. We captured some stunning shots of the couple in front of the entrance for their Wedding at The Chapel at Granite Ridge. Upon finishing up we took the couple back inside to warm up with family & friends as they danced the night away under the 3 story vaulted ceiling. Their fairytale wedding was the first in the Chapel under new ownership, and sadly the only one. As the purchaser soon put the property up for sale. We hope the new owners open the historic building up to weddings in the future.

We’d love to share more of Nick & Emma’s love story with you. Please check out their Winter Engagement Session which we captured just a few months before their wedding over the Christmas Holiday:
