Beautiful Wedding at Gannon University in Erie, Pa

Edgar & Emily met while in college and had some deep ties to the school. So, they decided to tie the knot with a Winter Wedding at Gannon University. Many couples don’t consider hosting a wedding in the winter, but our teams at Silver & Sage Studio LOVE the opportunity to capture some unique images for our clients. We don’t often get the chance to shoot in the snow or to capture details with evergreen branches, pine cones and other festive winter decor. 

This sweet couple selected one of our Bundle Packages for their wedding day. Because we offer so many wedding services we are able to create bundling packages that save a little money for our clients. Edgar & Emily booked our teams at Silver & Sage for Wedding Photography & a Wedding Photo Booth Rental. They finished up their bundle by also booking our partner DJ company Erie DJ Entertainment for their Premium DJ Package which included Uplighting & a Monogram Light. 

We began our day at their winter  Wedding at Gannon University with the bride getting ready at Mary Seat of Wisdom Chapel. We were able to capture some bridal portraits of Emily and detail shots before she made her way to the chapel to get married. Her fun loving and sweet personality really came through in those photos. After a heartfelt ceremony done fully in both Spanish for the groom’s family and English for the brides, we braved the cold for some quick bridal party photos on the property adjacent to the chapel. We then decided to walk the path from the chapel to Old Main where the reception was held in the ballroom. We took advantage of the walk to capture some photos both on the courthouse steps as well as in front of Old Main to commemorate their special day in a place that means so much to both of them. 

We found ourselves in a magical place full of glittering lights, energetic music and lots of laughter and love during the reception. Both Emily & Edgar shared very touching dances with their parents before taking the dance floor together as husband and wife for the first time. Their first dance was the most beautiful moment so far of their winter wedding at Gannon University. After the festivities of cake cutting, first dances, hilarious speeches, AND a chance to get into the photo booth; we snuck away with the couple into Old Main. Normally when the building is shut down for the evening it’s off limits, but this wedding at Gannon University had an ace up their sleeve. The bride was not only an alumni of the school, but her dad was also a professor at the college. The staff was very happy to allow us to sneak in alone and capture some fun moments amidst the history and antiques in the building. My favorite moments were those last alone with the couple creating some unique images I hadn’t had the chance to before in an old parlor. 

Our team had a wonderful time capturing Emily & Edgar’s love story and we wish them the happiest journey together!
