Wonderful Wedding at The School House in Fairview, Pa

Man oh Man. It is NOT very often that I begin a wedding description like that. BUT, Chris & Jenn’s Winter Wedding at the School House in Fairview, Pa deserves it. There was not a dull moment all day long. This couple has to be the most hysterical and fun loving wedding we have ever served. 

To begin with, Chris & Jenn hosted their wedding at the School House on Leap Day. A lot of joking about how many anniversaries they would be celebrating took place. Secondly, both of them kept us on our feet the entire time. Not in a bad way either, we couldn’t stop laughing because you never knew what was going to happen next. Because of the cold weather (It was literally below freezing that day) the entire wedding took place inside the venue. The first floor of the School House was set up for the ceremony to take place in front of the vintage teachers cabinet installed in the wall. The Groom kicked off the fun by entering to ‘Sexy and I Know It’ wearing leopard print stripper pants over his tux..which he of course teasingly removed at the end of his dance. The Bridal Party entered from the backstairs to the ‘Milkshake’ song. Erie DJ Entertainment expertly controlled the unique music selections by the newlyweds during the ceremony. The guests had a hard time calming themselves back down for the bride’s entrance after those fun surprises. To continue the fun, the couple had the most unique version of a Unity Ceremoney we’ve ever witnessed. The couple and their children combined their favorite candies into one dish. And, to wrap up the ceremony the bride dipped the groom during the first kiss! It was one of the most memorable ceremonies ever for us. 

Following the lively ceremony the guests were ushered into the lower level of the venue for cookies and cocktails. Meanwhile, the bridal party braved the freezing weather as long as they could for some glorious outdoor photos on the property. The sky was a brilliant blue and the fluffiest white clouds dotted the horizon behind them. After those frigid but beautiful photos we made our way back in for some energetic reception celebrations! Erie Photo Booth was set up downstairs for this wedding at The School House in the bar area for the guests to enjoy. Dinner, Cake Cutting and Dancing all took place on the first floor which had been reset by the venue staff. The cake was adorable. It was topped by little wine cork newlyweds. And there was a groom’s cake previewing the bride passed out in the honeymoon suite. Every last detail perfectly represented the couple…down to the last song of the night…which I can’t really tell you here. It was just a touch inappropriate for nice company. Wink.
